Shri Ravindra Chavan

Shri Ravindra Chavan Ji, State President, BJP Maharashtra is known for his grassroots connect, organizational leadership, and commitment to development-oriented governance. With over two decades of active public life, he has consistently worked towards strengthening infrastructure, improving public services, and advancing the welfare of citizens across Maharashtra.

Born on 20 September 1970, Ravindra Chavan Ji began his political journey through the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its youth wing. His leadership abilities and dedication to public service helped him rise steadily through the ranks of local governance and state politics. He served as a Corporator in the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation and later as Chairman of its Standing Committee, gaining valuable experience in public administration and civic development.

In 2009, he was elected as the first Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Dombivli constituency. Since then, he has earned the trust of the people by winning multiple consecutive terms and establishing himself as one of the leading voices for development in the region. His tenure has been marked by a strong focus on infrastructure, urban development, connectivity, and citizen-centric governance.

Over the years, Ravindra Chavan has held several important ministerial responsibilities in the Government of Maharashtra. He has served as Cabinet Minister for Public Works, Ports, Information Technology, Medical Education, Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection. Through these roles, he has contributed to major infrastructure projects, administrative reforms, and initiatives aimed at improving public service delivery across the state.

As a leader, he has been closely associated with transformative initiatives in Maharashtra, including efforts to improve road connectivity, accelerate public infrastructure projects, promote renewable energy adoption, and support social welfare programs. His work has reflected a commitment to balanced regional development and the creation of opportunities for future generations.

Ravindra Chavan has also played a significant organizational role within the BJP. He served as the General Secretary of BJP Maharashtra and later took on the responsibility of leading major membership and outreach campaigns across the state. His organizational capabilities and ability to connect with party workers at every level led to his appointment as the President of BJP Maharashtra, where he continues to strengthen the party’s presence and engagement with citizens.
